The ingredients needed to make Kolo Mee:
  1. Make ready shallot
  2. Take oil
  3. Make ready Minced pork (oyster sauce, sesame oil, “tsuheng wine”, pepper, potato starch)
  4. Get 3 Kolo mee

Variations on the noodles have been made across Southeast Asia to cater to different taste buds, but the original Kuching kolo mee version from Sarawak's capital still stands as the top favourite. The Kolo Mee here is different from the one I usually have back in Sibu. Apart from the usual meaty char The kolo mee here really evoked nostalgia. I was reminiscing my childhood memories in Sibu.

Steps to make Kolo Mee:
  1. Pour in 100ml oil and fry sliced shallot until golden brown
  2. Put shallot and shallot oil into two different bowls
  3. Use some of the oil to fry marinated minced pork (marinate for an hour at least)
  4. Boil Kolo Mee and then rinse it and pour cold water onto it
  5. Then put it back into boiled water for a few seconds
  6. Mix 3tbsp shallot oil, one tbsp soy sauce, one tbsp white pepper
  7. Pour Kolo Mee into the sauce mixture (add more soy sauce or white pepper to taste)
  8. Add minced pork and fried shallot on top

They miss out my order for extra egg and extra veggies and foodpanda's helpcenter is not helpful at. Sarawak Kolo Mee is a dish that originates from Sarawak, Kuching. A simple dish that's oh so flavourful and known to be one Sarawakians most favourite and popular dish.
